Season 2: Episode 10 – How A System Matches Up With Other Operating Systems

In this episode of What’s Wrong With Revenue?, we talked about how an RGS system matches up with other operating systems.

The idea of systems for your business isn’t new. In fact, most of the areas of your company already have systems for them. Areas like human resources, operations, finance and purchasing have been around for decades. Other systems are also prevalent today and these systems help CEOs and owners better manage their companies at a high level.

These systems include EOS, Gazelles and other operating systems, but tend to provide only a light touch regarding revenue generation. However, these systems do teach you a lot of parallel concepts to what RGS teaches about revenue. RGS is a beautiful complement for many of the business operating systems that exist today.

We showed our fans exactly how business operation systems like EOS provide a perfect complement for something like RGS. EOS helps you with two parts of your business: the strategy and the framework. These systems are critical to helping you break down big goals into manageable goals. When they are easier to digest, it gives you the ability to make progress weekly.

We talked about why EOS companies understand RGS and how it benefits you to have both. Essentially, it’s one platform with two components related to your revenue generation. If you are comfortable with the EOS format, you’ll have familiarity with the system and can use RGS to narrow in on a certain part of the business: revenue.

When companies don’t have experience with EOS, there is a little bit of a learning curve. You’ll get a coach, start to lay the rhythms of what it’s going to be like and after a few meetings, you’ll get in the groove of what a meeting feels like. You’ll be in a good cadence and know exactly why this is so important.

We wrap up the show by talking about when Square 2 runs the system for our clients, the good results follow. But that’s just a slice of the market. There are plenty of people that are good at running this on their own. You just have to lean into the system and follow the program in order to achieve results.
