    You MUST treat your database as one of your most important corporate assets.

    This means caring and nurturing for this database. It means regular cleaning. It means building best practices for the data that comes in and how old data gets taken out. It means proper segmentation and ongoing maintenance of that segmentation.

    It means assigning someone to maintain the quality and cleanliness of the data in your database. It means setting guidelines and enforcing how data comes into your database.

    It also means managing the lists you might gain access to and keeping those separate from your main contact database.
