In this episode of What’s Wrong With Revenue? we unpacked the big question: How do you get more leads? Specifically, how do you make a 10x improvement in lead generation?

We worked through all the sources of traffic to your website. This is the first step in getting more leads. The more visitors, the more leads. We talked about organic, social, referral and direct traffic sources plus email, paid search and paid social as additional sources for visitor traffic to your site.

LIVECast episode 19 tile imageBy increasing the number of visitors from all the potential sources simultaneously, you’ll increase the number of people on your site. Even if you do nothing else, you should increase the number of leads you generate for your company.

However, if you want to increase the number of leads by 10x, you’ll also have to increase the conversion rate across your site, and that is an entirely different set of tactics.

We tackled how to increase the amount of content on your site, which will increase the number of leads. We talked about the different types of content and how to place those offers on your site. We reviewed in detail the importance of the story your site tells and how you direct your visitors through your site.

Having highly educational and compelling gated and ungated content across your site is critically important to driving leads, but it’s often neglected in exchange for a mass of whitepapers or basic content offers. That’s not going to generate a 10x increase in leads.

We also discussed how ungated content can be used to generate leads simply by applying conversational marketing or chat tools and tracking chat leads, call-in leads and other informal requests for information.

All in all, our audience received a collection of actionable ideas that can be installed immediately in most cases to increase leads and hit that 10x objective.
