The first step is admitting you need help.

And why do you need help? You already told us: people aren't noticing you enough. They're not calling, they're not going to your website, they're not dropping by to ask what you're doing tonight, and they're definitely not buying what you're selling.

Pictured: nobody is listening. We know.

That's the problem, isn't it? How are those sales numbers doing these days? What about your competition -- pretty aggressive, right? So what are you doing about it?

Well, you're here, and that's a great start. Let's move on to how to fix things.

Don't be the other guys -- be the only guy.

When you create something worth talking about that only you offer, your competition becomes irrelevant. If people have to come to you -- and nobody else -- to get that in-demand, blogged-about, told-all-my-coworkers-about item or experience, you're golden. Doesn't this sound like exactly what you need to grow your business?

It is and it isn't. Because even if you create an amazing new way to produce widgets, people won't notice if you still look and sound like everyone else. Easy, now -- we didn't say you are like everyone else. But to your prospects, it sure seems that way. You need to show your company and your must-have experience to the world in a way that makes people sit up and say, "Whoa."

Okay, I want to be amazing! Now what?

Sounds good, but show me what you've done for other folks.
