Square 2 Marketing Donates Over 300 Articles Of Clothing To The Salvation Army

Warrington, PA (April 10, 2010) -- In the interest of giving back to the local community, Square 2 Marketing challenged its employees to donate articles of clothing to the Salvation Army. Their 10 employees responded by digging deep into their closets and bringing in over 300 articles of clothing. From lightly worn winter coats to outgrown swim trunks, all of the clothing will go to help local Salvation Army Family Thrift stores. Proceeds from the sale of these donated items help fund Adult Rehabilitation Centers, which provide substance abusers and others struggling with various challenges the necessary tools to re-enter society and live productive lives.

The initiative started with a trash bag full of clothing tucked into the corner of one of Square 2 Marketing's conference rooms. If you stop by the office today, you'll see a growing pile of trash bags filled with donated items. Visiting clients often wonder why a room is filled with "garbage", but when explained that it's for a clothing drive, their response is almost always, "I should really go through my closets too!" More proof that giving really is contagious.

Eric Keiles, Chief Marketing Officer at Square 2 Marketing, noted, "We originally challenged our team to donate as much as they could until the end of March. The response from our staff has been so positive that we've decided to extend the ‘giving period' until April 22nd when a Salvation Army truck is scheduled to pick up our donations."

For that matter, Square 2 Marketing encourages their employees to keep donating throughout the year. "In tough economic times charities suffer," said president Mike Lieberman. "But even if you're not in a position to give money, everyone can clean their closet and find a few articles of clothing to donate. Our team has responded so positively that we're encouraging them to give year-round. Too often people forget that charities rely on more than just donations around the holidays to sustain them."
