Steve is a 40 year veteran of the advertising-marketing business. In the early part of his career, he was the founder and CEO of Bailen Advertising Inc., a very successful ad agency in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After the sale of his company, he joined Maritz Communications as Vice President & General Manager of Maritz Media Works. During this time, he licensed 144 production companies and ad agencies in the US and Canada, to use the Media Works library of proprietary media productions.
Later in his career, Steve accepted the position of Vice President-Business Development at Grey Advertising, NYC World Headquarters, where he was responsible for the sales of "IPO Road Show Presentations" and annual reports. Clients included: Ralph Lauren, Martha Stewart Omnimedia, Fox Entertainment and JP Morgan Chase.
Sailing is Steve's great passion and release from the demands of the business world. He has logged over 20,000 miles sailing in the Great Lakes, Caribbean, Hawaiian Islands and Great Barrier Reef.
Steve has a BS Marketing degree from Ferris State College located in Big Rapids, Michigan.
