Career: Sales and Marketing Specialist.
As the Sales and Marketing Specialists at Square 2 Marketing, you are the quarterback for the sales and marketing effort. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will be responsible and accountable for assisting and implementing all marketing and sales tactics for the company.
This position includes two primary responsibilities: planning and communication. You will carry out multiple tasks to facilitate marketing campaigns for the company as well as support our sales process. Additionally, Square 2 Marketing executes a unique marketing methodology called Reality Marketing and an innovative sales process called Guided Sales, you will be responsible for learning both and being accountable to execute them both for the company.
Responsibilities:
In support of the sales and marketing team, this role will be responsible for scheduling conference calls and in person meetings for the sales team, email follow up and confirmations of appointments, sending marketing materials in advance of the meetings and general calendar maintenance for the sales team. This role is also responsible for tracking and reporting on the activity of the sales team through our internal Sales Tracker system.
Other responsibilities include the overall administrative support of the company's Free Workshops event programs. Accountabilities might include research, booking and reservations for event space, negotiating with meeting venues, handling or organizing registrations of attendees, follow up and confirmation and event post mortems.
The performance profile provides very specific expectations for this position.
- Within the first 30 days be able to organize, manage, and facilitate initial meetings and conversations with prospects for the entire sales team
- Within the first 30 days track and maintain marketing calendars for the company
- Within 30 days be able to create and distribute weekly sales reports including sales forecast in advance of a weekly meeting
- Within the first 60 days be able to support the creation of proposal documents within 24 hours of discovery meeting and conversation with Square 2 Marketing sales team
- Within 60 days be required to write and design marketing materials which include articles, presentations, brochures, press releases, company newsletter, event announcements, thank you letters, etc.
- Within 60 days be able to handle all event related activities including managing and tracking payments, registrations, refunds, schedules, speaker coordination, etc.
Prerequisites:
- bachelor's degree in business administration or marketing
- 3-5 years experience in an ad agency, marketing consulting firm or internal marketing support
- superb project management skills
- sound knowledge of marketing principles
- up to date knowledge of new technologies and ability to apply it to marketing principles
- ability to work individually and the ability to handle self-driven projects efficiently
- conversant with report writing, business procedures and correspondence
- excellent written, verbal communication, organizational and presentation skills are must
- first class copywriting skills and ability to use various technical aspects of the marketing theory for a wide range of customers
- time management, priority setting, organizing skills, attentiveness, and attention to detail are an absolute requirement
- statistical knowledge for analyzing systems and data to create solutions to challenges is required
- ability to work in cross-functional teams, meet deadlines, and exceed expectations
- ability to interact with a diverse organization, and championing projects across the organization
- strong project management skills and the ability to work at a fast pace under strict deadlines
- very strong proficiency using Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
