Careers: Marketing Consultant.

The Marketing Consultant is responsible for working in conjunction with a Senior Marketing Consultant to coach, consult and advise business owners on "remarkable" marketing tactics to grow their businesses.

Specifically, this position is responsible for working as part of a team to deliver a strategic marketing plan and the appropriate marketing tactics (website, email campaign, direct mail, trade show, public relations, social media, pay per click, etc) for our clients.

The key to being successful in this position is juggling many tasks at the same time, ensuring tasks and projects are done on time and ensuring that the projects deliver the expected results. The entire team is responsible, accountable and compensated on client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Here's a summary of how to be successful as our Marketing Consultant:

  • Work with a Senior Marketing Consultant to participate in the management of up to 8 full client accounts at any given time.
  • In addition provide support to smaller client engagements including special projects like website updates, or copy writing.
  • Assist in the crafting of the marketing messaging strategy and remarkable offerings for each of your client accounts.
  • Assist in the writing of strategic marketing plans for each of your clients.
  • Assist with client kick off meetings in conjunction with our team and with the client.
  • Work in conjunction with a Senior Marketing Consultant, also assigned to your client accounts, to ensure all work is done on time.
  • Write copy for client marketing tactics in conjunction with a Senior Marketing Consultant.
  • Assist the company by providing future recommendations to current clients to continue their relationship with Square 2 Marketing.
  • Manage renewal of contracts for smaller client engagements.
  • Work with the Production Manager to maintain and update our internal project tracking system, and make sure your client's projects stay on track.
  • Work with the Creative team to ensure your clients’ messaging is delivered in a consistent creative approach.
  • Ensure your clients are highly satisfied and score at least a 4 out of 5 on client satisfaction surveys.

Prerequisites

  • At least 5 years of marketing experience developing strategic marketing plans and tactical marketing programs for a variety of different industries.
  • Proven track record in developing marketing programs that have contributed to increased revenue, new customer acquisition, and customer retention.
  • Understanding of business issues, market trends, and marketing program development.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills are a must.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams, meet deadlines, and exceed expectations.
  • Ability to interact with a diverse organization, and champion projects across the organization.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work at a fast pace under strict deadlines.
  • Advertising, or marketing agency experience working with clients is preferred but not required.
  • Attention to detail is a significant requirement.
  • Very strong proficiency using Microsoft Office.
  • Undergraduate degree; MBA preferred.
