Careers: Graphic Designer.
The Graphic Designer plays a key role in the design process by working collaboratively with the creative director and client services team to establish design direction that is on-strategy. This includes determining all aspects of a project's visual design (including the initial concept, typography, color and interface design) for web projects; coordinating with copywriters to make sure design solutions meet project objectives; and consulting with project manager on scheduling.
Responsibilities
Here's a summary of how you can expect to spend your day as our Graphic Designer:
- Develop concepts for print and follow through production
- Develop concepts for web and email campaigns and oversee production
- Be responsible for animation concepts for Flash as needed
- Make internal presentations of concepts to internal teams
- Consult with project managers, writers, client service team members and technical team in all stages of design
- Work with development team to art direct execution of approved interactive design
- Use the latest techniques and technology to expand our design reputation
- Manage timelines and resources as required
- Bring a working knowledge of HTML, XHTML, CSS and Flash
Prerequisites
- Excellent design and typography skills
- Degree in graphic design, fine art, visual communications, or a related field
- 2-3 years interactive, multimedia experience
- Strong verbal skills, ability to communicate rationale for design development
- Highly organized, detail oriented, while working within tight deadlines
- Understand and apply marketing concepts to design projects
- Work independently and collaboratively with the team
- Work on many different projects and many different clients simultaneously
- 3 to 5 years of experience creating, developing, presenting, and producing graphic design projects
- Experience working in or working for an ad agency or marketing consulting firm
- Proficiency in design and page layout software programs (Adobe Creative Suite 4)
