We don't believe in separate sales and marketing departments, teams, processes or tactics. We only believe in the Revenue Department.
Our new Director will be a key contributor in our Revenue Department. They are responsible and accountable for driving revenue through the implementation of marketing strategy and tactics.
This key leader in our company uses the Reality Marketing strategy platform to implement all lead generating marketing tactics required to drive to our revenue goal. This requires the candidate to work with our leadership team to develop the messages, differentiation, and detailed marketing tactics to create the engaging content that helps us get found in all the right places, by all the right people, and then compels them to reach out to us, identifying themselves as leads.
The Director of Creating Content, Getting Found, and Getting Leads works with our creative team before, during and after the implementation of all our marketing tactics to track and measure the effectiveness of these tactics. Our expectations are that they are constantly monitoring, adjusting, and improving the performance of our programs with the single goal of driving leads.
Performance Profile
A Performance Profile clearly identifies the set of expectations associated with a particular role. This helps both the candidate and the hiring firm to be clear, from the beginning, on what will be expected and when.
The Director of Creating Content, Getting Found, and Getting Leads will:
- Work closely with the Leadership Team to understand overall company strategy and direction.
- Create 12 month revenue plan that details the tactics and the resulting leads aligned to our overall revenue goals for the year.
- Monitor and report on the performance of that plan quarterly.
- Implement, track and optimize the revenue generating tactics created in the plan in support overall company strategy.
- Lead any internal project teams working on implementing any revenue generating tactics across the company.
- Lead quarterly planning sessions to create necessary messaging and differentiation for all key target markets.
- Work closely with the Creative Director to ensure all revenue generating projects are designed to answer the goals the organization and drive leads.
- Implement and optimize our HubSpot technology platform to enhance the performance of our revenue generating tactics.
- Work closely with the Marketing Consulting Team to understand our business development and client services processes.
Prerequisites:
- Passionate about marketing and a continuous learner
- At least 15-20 years of marketing experience developing strategic marketing plans and tactical marketing programs
- Professional services firm experience is preferred
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills are a must
- Ability to write comfortably and consistently in a defined voice and tone for an organization
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams, meet deadlines, and exceed expectations
- Ability to interact with a diverse organization, and champion projects across the organization
- Strong project management skills and the ability to work at a fast pace under strict deadlines
- Social media expertise is required
- Experience with Inbound Marketing and using HubSpot strongly preferred
- Very strong proficiency using Microsoft Office required
- Undergraduate degree in Communications, Journalism, English or Marketing; MBA preferred
