Careers: Copy Architect.

Our Copy Architect should be a master storyteller. They are responsible for creating the most compelling, engaging and interesting stories; then translating those stories into creative concepts and supporting copy for Square 2 Marketing clients.

First and foremost, the Copy Architect must be extremely creative, with the ability to both brainstorm and edge craft effective concepts within the established strategy for clients across a wide variety of industries. This role on our team needs someone who eats, sleeps and dreams writing. They should be extremely organized so that they can write creative copy from websites to emails to sales sheets. The ability and desire to work with other writers, take direction from our Chief Copy Architect and Creative Director is a must.

We are looking for a native of social media, not an immigrant. We need someone who has grown up being part of the social media experience. Our Copy Architect will be asked to create, manage, and technically distribute social media copy including blogs, eBooks, posts, tweets, and other content for all our clients.

Here's a summary of how you will spend your day as our Copy Architect:

  • Work closely with the Creative Director, The Chief Copy Architect, The Director of Client Services and the Marketing Consulting team
  • Create compelling messages, remarkable differentiation and engaging stories to move markets for our clients
  • Deliver world class copy that makes our clients say WOW!
  • Create, distribute, and support compelling social media content for blogs, tweets, social networking sites, videos, eBooks and more
  • Work closely Graphic Designers to help creative pieces stay on concept and on message

Prerequisites

  • B.A. in English or related field; additional business-related education a plus
  • 4-8 years' experience writing in an agency environment
  • Native to social media with expertise in writing for the web, including (but not limited to) websites, blogs and emails
  • Proven examples of past creative concepts and copy that produced measurable results
  • Enthusiastic proponent of good writing standards and practices; keen awareness of appropriate tone and content of pieces
  • Eagerness to keep up with developments in the field through both individual research and guided extended learning
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are an obvious must
  • Obsession with attention to detail and an ability to self edit
